Shedding light on the lives of women who worked in the Girona cork industry: work, family and society.

Guided tour revealing the political and social history of women in the cork industry during the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century: life in the factory, at home, the education of girls and working women, their struggles and the solidarity between them… Palafrugell, epicentre of cork production, where women workers outnumbered their male counterparts, is where the walk takes place, ending up in the town’s Cork Museum.
